I have this succulent in my yard. Quite honestly it is the least attractive plant I have ever seen. It’s floppy, brownish most of the time, it always looks sad.
But one day a year… Seriously ONE day… It produces an enormous glowing flower!
I’m amazed I even catch it’s one shining moment, but every year I do. This year she’s got 4 more blossoms emerging, not just one.
She’s teaching me about something… About incubation… About allowing yourself the time to process, about how much of creativity is patience not productivity.
