Not Good Enough

I hear things like:

“I’m not a good dancer, so I can’t do Zumba.”

“I’m not a good singer, so I can’t do karaoke.”

“I’m not a good draw-er, so I can’t do an art journal.”

I have never felt comfortable drawing faces, so I decided to practice. Following an article by Dina Wakley in a Cloth Paper Scissors Magazine, I did this.

I do not consider myself a good draw-er, never have, but we can’t let “not being good enough” stop us from creating. Creating doesn’t have to create “good.” Creating is about the process of creating, about feeling good while we are creating. About being happy with the results regardless of its lack of perfection.

I am not a good baker. Truly truly… but I wanted a homemade chocolate cake one day, so I made one.

Cake Masterpiece

I ate that abomination.

And it was GOOD!

Now get out there this weekend and create!
